With a BA in Musical Theater and an MA in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Drama Therapy, Tia has been trained to work creatively with groups and individuals. She specializes in facilitating emotional expression, developing self reflection and insight, heightening communication and interpersonal skills, and expanding flexibility and spontaneity through play, creative movement and role-playing. She has worked professionally using drama therapy techniques and the arts with children and adults for over 20 years in NYC, the San Francisco Bay Area, South Africa, and currently in Baltimore.
Tia's work experience includes performance art, education, individual and group therapy, program development, professional development for organizations, and community outreach. She is currently a Youth and Family Engagement Specialist with Baltimore County Public Library and a mom to a 6 year old.
